Community Partnerships

At the Academy of Advanced Learning we understand that opening a successful school requires close collaboration with parents and numerous community groups who also have a stake in helping children receive a great education. We are thankful to the many organizations who have supported our development to date.

Anschutz Foundation

Founded in 1984, The Anschutz Foundation has given substantially to hundreds of nonprofit organizations primarily concentrated in Colorado. The Anschutz Foundation currently makes more than 500 grants annually.

Aurora Public School District

AAL has a strong relationship with Aurora Public Schools. We are strengthened by the APS Board’s unanimous approval of our charter application on June 21, 2016, putting into motion the actions necessary to secure our facility and funding to meet our target opening date of August 2017.

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation works to help all people lead healthy, productive lives. In the United States, it seeks to ensure that all people—especially those with the fewest resources—have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life. 

Charter School Growth Fund

The Charter School Growth Fund identifies the country’s best charter schools, funds their expansion, and helps to increase their impact.

Daniels Fund

The Daniels Fund, established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for the people of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming through its grants program, scholarship program, and ethics initiative.

Gates Family Foundation

The mission of the Gates Family Foundation is to invest in projects and organizations which have meaningful impact in Colorado. The Foundation seeks to promote excellence, innovation and self-sufficiency in education, healthy lifestyles, community enrichment, connection to nature and stewardship of the state’s natural inheritance.

New School Venture Fund

The mission of the New School Venture Fund is to transform public education through powerful ideas and passionate entrepreneurs so that all children – especially those in underserved communities – have the opportunity to succeed.

Over the next several months, the AAL Board of Directors and our CEO will continue our community outreach efforts and meet with organizations and community leaders to garner support for our program. Our goal is to create synergies between the school and other community-based organizations to best serve the families of Aurora.
